Google Unveils Lightweight Open AI Model Gemma: A Game-Changer in Chatbot Technology

Google has introduced an open AI model called Gemma, which is designed to help developers build AI responsibly. The model was created using the same research and technology as Google's Gemini AI models, but is available in a lightweight version that can run directly on a developer's laptop or desktop computer. Gemma surpasses larger models in key benchmarks and was trained to be safe, with automated techniques to strip personal information from the data used to train the models, and reinforcement learning based on human feedback to ensure responsible behaviors. The model is available in two sizes - Gemma 2B and Gemma 7B - and Google plans to introduce more variants in the future. Additionally, Google has released two new open large language models, Gemma 2B and Gemma 7B, which can be used by outside companies and independent software developers to build online chatbots similar to Google's own chatbot.
