Former Gizmodo Writer Hides in Plain Sight as 'Slackbot' for Months

Hilariously a former Gizmodo writer, Tom McKay, successfully hid his active Slack account by impersonating the Slackbot persona. McKay altered his profile picture and name to match the Slackbot icon and character, allowing him to go undetected for several months. Colleagues received bot-like messages from him, including a "Slackbot fact of the day" message. While not every company may be susceptible to this trick, the author of the article finds the situation amusing and notes that it "tracks."
