Dropped Your iPhone in Water? Don't Try These Common Myths, Says Apple!

Apple has issued a statement advising against placing iPhones in bags of rice to dry them after exposure to water. According to the company, this method can actually cause damage to the device due to the presence of small particles of rice. Instead, Apple recommends tapping the phone gently against one's hand to remove excess liquid and leaving it to dry in a dry area with airflow. If the phone still does not charge after a day, it may be necessary to seek repair or replace it entirely.
