Microsoft Updating a Key on Keyboard

Microsoft is introducing a new key on new laptops and PCs called the "Copilot" key, which will provide quick access to the company's AI-powered Windows Copilot experience. The Copilot key will replace the menu key on most keyboards and will be placed next to the right-hand alt key. If Windows Copilot isn't available in the user's country, the Copilot key will launch Windows Search instead. The existing Windows key can still open the Start menu or be combined with various other keys for shortcuts to Windows features and functions, but the Copilot key is specifically designed as a launch key for Windows Copilot. Microsoft is also working on a "Windows refresh" that will focus on new AI features, and the company has already started branding Microsoft Edge as the "AI browser."
