iPhone Backdoors: The Most Advanced Exploit Ever Uncovered?

The recent security threat known as the "Triangulation" campaign has revealed a previously unknown vulnerability in Apple devices' advanced memory protections. This vulnerability allowed attackers to bypass these protections and install full-featured spyware on compromised devices. The attackers were able to gain access to devices through a complex exploit chain that did not require any action from the recipient of an iMessage text. Once infected, the devices transmitted sensitive data such as microphone recordings, photos, geolocation, and other data to attacker-controlled servers. However, the infections did not survive a reboot, and the attackers continued to keep the campaign alive by sending new malicious iMessage texts shortly after the devices were restarted.
