Wi-Fi Meltdown: Windows 11 Update Hits Universities

Microsoft's latest Windows 11 cumulative update, KB5033375, has introduced a problem for some students using Qualcomm wireless adapters. The issue affects both personal laptops and university-provided hardware, with some universities issuing warnings to their students. The problem appears to be related to compatibility issues between the Qualcomm QCA61x4a wireless adapter and the December update. Affected users have been advised to uninstall the update to resolve the issue, but this may not be a viable solution for business users. Microsoft has not yet commented on the matter, leaving affected users and universities waiting for a resolution. Despite this issue, the update did contain some useful fixes, including a longstanding problem with File Explorer randomly popping up on the desktop.
