Beeper Mini's Latest iMessage Setup Requires a Mac: What You Need to Know

The company is open-sourcing its full iMessage bridge and Mac code that generates registration data. A bipartisan group of US lawmakers has asked the US Department of Justice to investigate Apple's potential anticompetitive treatment of Beeper. The new method will involve sending "registration data" from a Mac computer to authenticate iMessage connections on Android. The Beeper Mini app's developers are still working on a fix for iMessage on Android despite Apple's mitigations.
