Are Your Devices Spying on You? New Report Raises Concerns
Recently, Cox Media Group (CMG) claimed to have developed a technology called "Active Listening" that allows them to gather data on consumers' private conversations through embedded microphones in their smartphones, smart TVs, and other personal devices. However, the company has since deleted the page, raising questions about the validity of the claim. While CMG claims that their technology is legal and uses AI to detect relevant conversations, the lack of detail and inconsistencies in their explanation have led many to doubt the accuracy of their statement. Although such technology highlights concerns about online privacy and the potential for surveillance states, as well as the need for transparency and accountability in the use of these technologies.
